A Celebration of Nature and Design
YASVON was established in 2017 by sculptor Yasiel Pavón as a tribute to nature. Born in Cuba, Yasiel studied sculpture at the Las Tunas Art School, moving later with his family to the United States and settling in New Jersey, where he worked as a private contractor and jewelry maker. During his leisure time he hiked in the majestic and challenging landscapes of the Adirondacks and Catskills, finding inspiration to channel his unique aesthetic sensitivity and his knowledge into art.
YASVON’s are handcrafted sculptural lamps with a superior aesthetic quality. Inspired by the beauty of nature in all its forms, YASVON blends rawness and sophistication.
Conceptual Craft
“I needed to make something, to create something, to build something with my hands. I just wanted to create and make beautiful things. That was liberating.”
“I go on hikes in the country and then make the things I find into functional decorative objects. So the lamps are an homage to nature, the consolidation of everything I studied and worked at. It all comes together in a new product.”
